All Set The Bone turns Greg Freeman’s indie rock and alt-country into a sprawling, volatile double album, sharpened by John Congleton’s production and a band that moves from barroom piano and brass to scorched guitar noise. Across thirteen songs, Freeman writes about debt, damaged towns, political dread, private grief and the panic of time running out, his cracked voice making every love story and civic collapse feel like the same approaching emergency.
